WiFi for Students - Connecting on Chromebook

Before You Start

Check DNS Settings

  1. Open Settings on your Chromebook.

  2. Go to Network and then the Security and Privacy section (you may have to scroll down).

  3. In the Select DNS provider setting, make sure the Default option is selected.

Connect to Clark WiFi

  1. Click the WiFi icon on your taskbar. This is usually near the time and battery displays.

  2. Click on the tile mentioning connections or WiFi. This will look different depending on the make and model of your Chromebook.

  3. Select ClarkWiFi from available networks.

  4. A small WiFi window will appear on your screen displaying connection options.

    1. Set EAP method to PEAP.

    2. Set EAP Phase 2 authentication to MSCHAPv2.

    3. Set Server certificate/certification to Do Not Check.

    4. In the domain match field, type in radius.it.clarku.edu.

    5. In the identity field, type in your Clark email address.

    6. In the Password field, type in your Clark password.

    7. Leave all other fields blank. Then click Connect or Join.

Troubleshooting

  1. Click on the WiFi icon in your taskbar.

  2. Turn WiFi toggle button off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on.

  3. Test your WiFi by navigating to a preferred non-Clark website.
