Listserv - Join a Public Mailing List
Before You Start
Note: This process only works for public mailing lists at Clark University. If you’re unsure if the list you’d like to subscribe to is public, contact the ITS Help Desk.
What is a listserv?
Joining a listserv allows the owner of that listserv to email you and anyone else who joined all at once without having to manually create a contact list or remember and enter individual email addresses. They are an easy way to communicate with large groups on campus and stay informed about certain projects, events, or groups.
Instructions
Open a blank email message from the email account you’d like to subscribe to the list. For most people, this will be your Clark email address.
In the To field, type in the email address of the list you’re subscribing to. Do not include any text in the Subject field or the body of the message.
Lists follow this email address format: listname-subscribe@lists.clarku.edu
Example: iloveclark-subscribe@lists.clarku.edu.
