Apple - Change Password on Clark-Managed Mac

Before You Start

Use these instructions only if you remember your “old” password. If you’ve forgotten your Clark password, please click here for instructions for resetting your password.

  • Minimum password length of 15 characters

  • Cannot be one of your previous five passwords

  • Cannot contain three or more successive characters from your username, display name, first name, or last name

  • Cannot contain spaces or non-English characters

  • Will expire 365 days after it was set

  • Cannot include apostrophe ' 

  • Must contain 3 of the following categories of special characters:

    • Uppercase English letter (A to Z)

    • Lowercase English letter (a to z)

    • Number 0 to 9

    • Non-alphanumeric (!, #, $, & , =, etc…)

Instructions

  1. In your internet browser, go to https://biscuits.clarku.edu/PasswordChange/?_gl=1*1upva4b*_gcl_au*OTM5MzY3NTEuMTcyOTUyNzUxNQ.

  2. Enter your Clark username and your initial password (the one you'll be changing). 

  3. Enter your new password twice: once in the New Password field, and once again in the Confirm New Password field. Make sure your password meets all listed requirements.

  1. Next, review Clark University's Appropriate Use Policy and click the checkbox before clicking Submit. Once you have submitted your new password, close or minimize that page in your internet browser. Please keep these instructions open 🙂

  2. In the upper right corner of your Mac desktop, look for Kandji's butterfly icon and click on it. 

    1. If you do not see the Kandji icon on your Mac, please contact the ITS Help Desk.

  1. In the small pop-up window, click the Self Service bar. 

  2. In the window, click Device Info in the lower left pane, then click the blue Sync button.

  3. Wait for the Password Sync window to appear.

Note: it may take up to 5 minutes for this window to appear on your screen

  1. Once the Password Sync window appears, type in your new password and click the blue OK button.

  2. Restart your computer. When it turns on again, log in with your new password.

    1. If you are prompted to update your keychain, enter your old password (the one you just changed) in order to open the keychain and save the new password.

    2. Please note you may need to reenter your new password when opening Microsoft apps such as Outlook, Word, etc.
