Before You Start
Export from Outlook on Windows
Open the Outlook app.
Navigate to the File tab along the top of the Outlook ribbon.
From the File screen, select Open & Export, and then click Import/Export.
From the Import & Export Wizard window, select Export to a file and click Next.
Select Outlook Data File (.pst) and click Next.
Select the folder(s) you’d like to export into a file. Click Next.
Click the Browse… button to select a save location for your Outlook file (e.g., Desktop).
Click Finish.
The file will export in the background. Leave Outlook open until the export is finished.
Export from Outlook for Mac
Open the Outlook app.
From the File option in the toolbar at the top of your screen, turn off New Outlook by clicking on it. This will cause Outlook to close and reopen.
When Outlook reopens, go to the File tab and select Export.
In the Export to Archive File (.olm) window, check the items you want to export, and click Continue.
In the Save As box, select where you would like to save the archive file (e.g., Desktop). Click Save.
Leave Outlook open until the export is finished.
Once all your data has been exported, you'll get a notification. Click Finish.
