Set up your desk phone

Sign in manually on desk phone

  1. On the desk phone’s touchscreen, select Sign In on this device to enter credentials manually.

    1. Using the keypad on the desk phone touchscreen, enter your Clark email address and password when prompted.

    2. Use the green check mark on the touchscreen to move to the next step after entering text on the touchscreen.avr1

Sign in using internet browser on computer

  1. Select your Clark account.

  2. Enter the password to your Clark account and click Sign in.

  3. Once you see a confirmation message, you can close the window on your computer. You are now signed into your Teams desk phone.

Change ringtones (optional)

  1. On the touchscreen, tap your picture or initials in the upper left corner. Select Settings.

  2. Tap Calling, then scroll down to the Ringtones section.

  3. Customize ringtones for:

    • Calls for you: Set a distinct ringtone for calls made directly to you.

    • Forwarded Calls: Set a distinct ringtone for calls made directly to you.

    • Delegated Calls: Choose a separate ringtone for calls coming in on behalf of someone else.

  • Press the home button to return to the main screen from any menu.

Voicemail

  • Access your voicemail directly by pressing the voicemail button. Follow prompts to listen to, delete, or save messages. You’ll also be able to see a transcript of the message and

    choose to

    call back anyone who left a message.

Hold button

  • Tap Hold to pause the conversation. Tap the hold button again to resume the call.

Transfer button

  • Select

    Press the Transfer button during a call, enter the recipient’s

    name or

    number, and confirm by clicking the number on the touchscreen. Long pressing the transfer button will give consult and transfer option.

  • Navigate to Settings > Calling>Ringtones.

  • Customize ringtones for:

Making and Managing Calls

Making a Call

  • From Teams Contacts:

    • Tap Calls on the home screen and search for a contact.

  • Direct Dial:

    • Use the numeric keypad to enter the number and press the call button on the right-bottom corner of the screen.

Receiving Calls

  • Answering: lift the earpiece to attend the call or choose to attend the call on screen.

  • Rejecting: Press the red cross in the call notification.

Make a call

Make a call using the keypad

  1. Lift the earpiece from the desk phone.

  2. Dial a phone number or four-digit extension on the numeric keypad. If you’re making a call as yourself, wait several seconds for the line to start ringing.

  3. If you’re making a call as a delegate or from a departmental line, use the drop-down arrow in the bottom of the touchscreen to change “Call as myself” to “Call as [name of delegatee/department].”

Make a call from contacts

  1. Tap the Contacts button on the desk phone.

  2. Use the touchscreen to browse contacts. Tap the one you’d like to call.

  3. Under their name and picture or initials, tap the phone icon.

  4. Lift the earpiece.

Answer calls

  1. To accept a call, lift the earpiece from the desk phone or tap Accept call on the touchscreen.

  2. To decline a call, tap the red cross on the desk phone touchscreen.

Answer calls as delegate or call group member

  1. If you are a delegate for someone else, or if you belong to a call group, incoming calls to those lines will appear on or ring your phone. The touchscreen will display the name of the person or call group. You can answer, transfer, or forward the call as needed.

Call Options

These are available while you are in an active call.

  • Mute: Tap the mute button to silence your microphone during a call The other person will not be able to hear you. Click on

  • Delegated Calls:

    • If you manage calls for another person, their incoming calls will appear with their name. You can answer, transfer, or forward the call as needed.

Configure delegation settings directly on the phone:

  • Navigate to Settings > manage Delegatesnumber or 4 digit extension you’d like to transfer to. Confirm the number by tapping it on the desk phone touchscreen. Wait while the call transfers; it will automatically end once the call is transferred successfully.

This setting is most relevant to those who manage departmental lines or those who have executive assistants or administrators.

  1. On the touchscreen, tap your picture or initials in the upper left corner. Select Settings.

  2. Tap Manage delegates.

  3. Add or remove delegates and manage the permissions listed below for the delegates.

    1. Make calls (To make calls as you)

    2. Receive calls (To receive calls on your behalf)

    3. Change call and delegate settings (add people and edit other settings)

    4. Join active calls

    5. Pickup held calls

Troubleshooting

Issue

Solution

Phone not powering on

Check if the Ethernet cable is connected securely to a PoE-enabled port. To enable POE on a port it should be added to a particular VLAN.

Unable to sign into Teams

Confirm network connectivity and ensure Check that the ethernet cable is plugged into a green or blue wall port. Ensure your Teams credentials are accurate/. Unplug and reconnect the ethernet cable.

No internet connection / phone screen is normal but not ringing

Reset the connection by unplugging and reconnecting the ethernet connection.

If it still doesn’t work. Long pres s press the hold button to reset the phone. You will be prompted to sign back in.

Display is unresponsive

Restart the phone by unplugging and reconnecting the Ethernet cable.

No sound during calls

Ensure the phone is not muted and verify the handset, speaker, or headset connections.

  1. Resetting the Phone

    1. Long press hold button for the phone to reset.

    2. Once the reset is done sign back into Teams.

Best Practices

  • Keep the screen and buttons clean using a soft, lint-free cloth.

  • Customize your ringtones for better call management, especially if you manage calls for others.
