When your computer is eligible for the Windows 11 upgrade, you’ll see this notification:

If you don’t see this notification, your device may not be eligible to upgrade. Please contact the ITS Help Desk for more information.
Once you see this notification, you should prepare for the upgrade process by doing the following:
Back up data to OneDrive, external hard drive, or thumb drive.
Set aside 2 hours to complete the upgrade.
You don’t need to be at your computer for the whole two hours, so you may consider starting the upgrade before leaving for lunch or at the end of the day. Be sure to wait until the upgrade is underway before leaving your device.
Complete the upgrade while the device is on campus.
Connect your laptop to your dock for power and a wired Internet connection.
