WiFi for Faculty & Staff - Connecting on Chromebook (Personal Device)
Before You Start
Check DNS Settings
Open Settings on your Chromebook.
Go to Network and then the Security and Privacy section (you may have to scroll down).
In the Select DNS provider setting, make sure the Default option is selected.
WiFi Instructions
Connect to Clark WiFi
This step should be completed when you arrive on campus.
Click the WiFi icon on your taskbar. This is usually near the time and battery displays.
Click on the tile mentioning connections or WiFi. This will look different depending on the make and model of your Chromebook.
Select ClarkWiFi from available networks.
A small WiFi window will appear on your screen displaying connection options.
Set EAP method to PEAP.
Set EAP Phase 2 authentication to MSCHAPv2.
Set Server certificate/certification to Do Not Check.
In the domain match field, type in radius.it.clarku.edu.
In the identity field, type in your Clark email address.
In the Password field, type in your Clark password.
Leave all other fields blank. Then click Connect or Join.
Warning: To avoid continual prompts to sign in again, please complete the following directions.
Register your device
Once you’re connected to the internet, open an internet browser and navigate to https://clarknet.clarku.edu.
Cluck Continue to Device Registration.
Log in with your Clark account.
Enter a nickname for your device that is descriptive.
ITS recommends the device make and model, and year of registration.
Example: Chromebook Fall 24
Check the box to state that you have read and agree to Clark’s Appropriate Use policy.
Click Register.
Click Ok.
Reset your WiFi Connection
Click on the WiFi icon in your taskbar.
Turn WiFi toggle button off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on.
Test your WiFi by navigating to a preferred non-Clark website.
