Before You Start

You’ll need…

  • Your Clark username and password

  • The full name of the file share you’d like to connect to

  • An internet connection

    • If you are trying to connect from off campus, you will need to be connected to the Clark VPN prior to following these instructions. See instructions: VPN - InstallationInstall & Connect

Note: You can only map file shares you have permission to access. Contact the ITS Help Desk if you are unsure if you have permission to access a certain file share.

Instructions

  1. Click the File Explorer icon in the taskbar – located at the bottom left of the screen. file-explorer-folder-libraries-icon-18298.pngImage Added

  2. Locate and right-click the computer icon (labelled ‘This PC’) This PC from the navigation plane located on the left column. Select ‘Map Map Network Drive’Drive.

  3. You can keep the default Drive letter (or change it if you desire). Enter the full name of the File Share (see guide above).

  4. Select ‘Reconnect Reconnect at logon’ logon if you always want the resource always available.

    Credentials’. Click ‘Finish’. Note: if you are off-campus you need to be connected to the Clark VPN in order to map to a network share

  5. Enter your Clark credentials (using the full email address username@clarku.edu) and Clark password. You may choose to “Remember my credentials” check Remember my credentialsif this is a private device.

  6. Click OK.
