Breakout rooms are sessions that are split off from the main Zoom meeting. They allow participants to meet in smaller groups. Breakout rooms can be used for collaboration and discussion.
...
...
Note: If joining the Zoom meeting via the web or the Chromebook app, you will not be able to join a breakout room.
The host will invite you to a breakout room. You’ll see a small pop-up within the Zoom meeting.
Click Join.
Within the breakout room, you’ll have access to an additional button on your Zoom menu bar. This button reads Ask for Help. Clicking this button will prompt you to invite the meeting host into the breakout room so they can assist you.
To leave the breakout room and return to the main Zoom meeting, click Leave Breakout Room in your menu bar.
If the host ends breakout rooms, you’ll see a notification giving you the option to return to the main meeting immediately or in 60 seconds.

Unless you are speaking or about to speak, mute your audio so background noise does not interrupt or distract the other people in the meeting.
In a meeting with many participants, use the Reactions button to “raise your hand” to speak.
