Before You Start

Info

Note: This function is only available on Windows computers.

Navigate to File Share

  1. Open the File Explorer image-20240703-142555.pngImage Added located at the bottom of your screen.

  2. In the left pane, click This PC.

  3. Identify your file share(s) in the Networked locations section in the File Explorer window.

Restore the Entire File Share to a Previous Version

  1. Right-click on the file share you’d like to restore to a previous version. Click Properties.

  2. In the Properties window, click the Previous Versions tab.

  3. Select the date and time you’d like the file share to revert to. Click Viewto verify the file share appears as desired. If necessary, choose another date and time and repeat until the file share appears the way you want it to.

  4. If what you are looking for is not here, then try another date and time.

Step 5

  1. Once you locate a viable copy of the file/folder you can drag it to your desktop or back onto the network share or select “Save As” and select another location.

Step 6

  1. Do not use the Restore option, unless you have the specific folder/file selected and it needs to be restored in its entirety to an earlier point in time. All changes since that restore point will be lost, so you should be certain that the Restore feature will work for you instead of Copy.

Note: This can also be done through the Internet Explorer browser by entering the full path of the share in the address bar.
